Rare! Elsa Schiaparelli Black Leather Handbag. NEW YORK, PARIS label.
1940s – 50s Art Deco Oval Balloon style/design.
Exquisitely made!
Black real leather body + original handle is in very good condition!
Each side of the handle is securely fastened to the ornate Jappaned metal hardware.
Oval shaped hard boxy type body with concertina base and sides.
Italian design with a fabulous chunky Romanesque clasp.
Ornate design Bow and Roman Scroll pattern to the frame on one side.
Hinges and clasp work perfectly.
Inside is lined with cream mushroom real leather with black piped edging to the two deep pockets which are also lined with ivory satin as is the zipped pocket too.
Very clean inside with no lipstick marks and has been very well looked after with only a few light scratches externally.
Label reads Schiaparelli NEW YORK PARIS in shocking pink.
Measurements: Oval Body 26 cm h x 34 cm w at widest points.
Handle 2cm at top graduating to 4cm at widest points decreasing back to 2 cm at hardware base.
Comes with original Schiaparelli Pink hang tag.
