Late 1800's early 1900's hand beaded Purse by the Iroquois Native Amerian Indian tribe, Woodlands of North America. This purse has the same floral beadwork design to both sides of the purse. (Trade beads in colourful raised flower and animal beadworks were made for the tourist trade by women of the Iroquois). Original braided material handles. Brown velvet material with exquisite beading. White and clear beaded fringe. Material to the edges of the purse has started to shred, However, this is commensurate to the age of the purse. Some bead loss is to be expected but is minimal. I would love to see this purse going back to North America to a collector or museum that specialises in such antiquities. A fabulous addition to your antique purse collection! Size: Purse body 7ins x 7ins Braided handle 5 ins hContact me for Free Shipping Worldwide International Signed For including insurance.
